Hello, first time posting, so forgive me for any formatting mishaps.

I have been encountering what I believe to be the same issue for the last month and a half now. I bought my school laptop in July of 2016 from my school's bookstore (I go to ASU), and have been using it with next to no issues. Since just last month, my computer has been having trouble running anything heavier than Microsoft Access or Excel, as well as taking exponentially more time than usual to open web pages. My friend who works in IT for a school district, and I have tried to decipher whats wrong, and have attempted multiple solutions, which even worked to some extent. These include multiple deep scans, re-imaging the computer with a fresh copy of Windows, and transferring a large majority of hard drive storage to the Cloud and a flash drive backup. We've found no errors in any of the tests we've run. He chalked it up to an internet connection issue, even though the same problem can be replicated on a hardwired cable connection versus my standard WIFI one. I checked Task Manager just today for instance, during which I was only running two applications, League of Legends, and a Firefox browser. I had one tab open on the Firefox browser, but the listing for the program under Task Manager was "Firefox (5)", so I expanded the details. Underneath is what looks to be five separate instances of Firefox running, with multiple different percentages of memory being used. Just recently, this phenomena has been occurring with a game that I usually play on here, League of Legends. My PC is well within the recommended specs guidelines for playing, so that isn't the issue. At max, two instances of League will be active at a time, one for the client and one for the game window. Today, I found three processes. My assumption is either a virus that forces my computer into using virtual memory, hence the slow speed, or some form of corrupted hard drive. Pasted below are my specs. Thanks for a quick reply.

Presuming if I am wrong you can reinstall
    UNINSTALL this app
    Discord (HKCU\...\Discord) (Version: 0.0.298 - Discord Inc.)
It is known for causing such problems as you have on 10

So Discord's desktop app isn't sound? I should only use their mobile app then? Does Skype do the same thing, because aren't they similar programs?

(edit): I only ask because I use the software and kinds like it frequently, i.e Skype, TeamSpeak, Discord.

Yeah, both problems are still reoccurring after uninstalling Discord. The web page loading issue, the lack of processing strength (I tested two games this time, frame rates are <10 with constant internet connections) and the task manager process duplication issue are still happening. Thankfully, I had no online finals this semester, so if new parts are the only viable solution, I can gladly commit to that.

(edit); would like to add that all my applications, software, drivers, etc. are up to date.

Re the lack of processing strength
If you are indeed referring to the CPU there is no upgrade of CPU available to you as the one installed is
    https://ark.intel.com/products/85212/Intel-Core-i5-5200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_70-GHz
what is known as BGA - ball grid array it is not one that can be changed - ball grid array means

BGA means that the processor is not fitted into a socket where it can be removed or replaced, and instead is soldered to the motherboard.

However the processor is not the problem otherwise of course you would have the problem of low performance since the start

Clean boot it and compare performance
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

follow carefully the procedure on this link for Windows 10.ensuring you HIDE all Microsoft services before disabling others
If that does not bring about any improvement return to normal boot as shown on the link

Then on Firefox see if the problem is caused by add-ons - and extensions start Firefox as here in Safe Mode

    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/k...e?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Safe+Mode

Okay, I clean booted it as described on the page. Attached are three .png files. One shows the reoccurring problem of task manager process duplication, even under a clean boot environment. Another shows how many Windows Processes I have running simultaneously, for posterity, and the last one shows the in-game environment of League of Legends. Hopefully you can read the MS Paint editing, but there I describe a typical environment for a standard game, and what's different. All the snapshots are from the clean boot environment, and are similar if not the exact same issues that occur when in a standard environment. I have exactly one add on in Firefox, ABP, (Adblock Plus), the highest rated adblock software in the Firefox app store. I sure that if anything was wrong with it, they'd have removed it from that store. Starting FF in safe mode produced little to no change in symptoms.

I am not sure of the point you are making here
HOW am I expected to know that this Adblock - was the only extension you had.

Plus which Safe Mode in Firefox does MORE than simply disable add-ons you have installed
Safe Mode temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes) that might be causing problems.

It also disables add-ons etc that may have been put there by any software you are using.

    To proceed
    1. Which version of 10 do you have - have you received the 1709 Fall update
    2. Return the system to normal boot
    Leave Discord uninstalled
    3. Open a cmd prompt with admin rights and run a system file check
    sfc /scannow
I do NOT need the file of results only please is all in order or some errors that could not be fixed.
    4.
go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

RETEST and post result of the retest and the requested details

I just checked the box as you said, it was unchecked previously. The sfc /scannow "did not find any integrity violations".

Edit: If there was something you wanted me to see from the Firefox settings change, I haven't seen anything different.
