Memory Error when trying to open a program/game

    anyone know what could fix this...i've tried running ad aware and ran a scan of AVG but nuthin helped

    it happens when i try to open up a game

    i know it works because the same file was installed in a friends PC and worked

    could it be a virus at all...i even d/led Norton to test it and nothing popped up

    This error has many possible origins. Virus is not usually a cause.

    Do you have the graphics drivers and hardware needed for the game? Is your system updated with Direct X 9b?

    Do you have all recommended patched/updates applied to your OS?

    yeah i ran a windows update and everythingis good, i tried running one stick of since i run dual channel, i tried running everyhting at stock speed instead of overclocked
