Could somebody tell me what a memory optimization program such as WinRam Turbo Pro does and why is it needed?

It puts nifty little bar graphs and counters on your PC that make you think it is actually doing something when all it is really doing is talikg your money. They don't do anything and are really a complete waste of money. Windows manages memory and resources better than any so called optimizer can do.

Rockn is correct. Those memory managers aid little if any benefit.
