Memory speed for CPU?

    Intel says the memory speed for the 3930k and the 3970x are both DDR3-1066/1333/1600.

    In order to reap the full benefit of 1866, must the CPU be overclocked? If so, is it proportionate, so 15% overclock?

    That looks alright.. Just make sure you have a good HSF to handle the extra heat.

    You *might* want to look into a liquid-cooling system.
