Hi, i'm trying to test some DDR300 memory.
Has anyone had any experience with memtestx86 freezing after booting up from the floppy? This happens with both the memory cards i've bought. on my old pentium II it zips through fine (with much older memory). But on my new home-built system it crashes every time.

    mother: ASUS p4s8x-x
    proc: p4 2.8ghz
mem: 256MB DDR300 Samsung or Kingmax
    HDD: Seagate 40MB
CDRW: Philips 1610 series from 2002.

I'm about to burn my pc in frustration...

I've never had MEMTEST86 freeze up on me, but I'm glad I looked, I didn't realize that a new version was around. :) Thanks, hopefully you'll figure out what the problem you have is...
