I am a MSN Messenger user, which means I cannot communicate with AIM or ICQ users. A bummer to be sure. I've read where there are products that allow the various types to converse. Products like Trillian or Odigo. Can anyone tell me which is the best tool? Or suggest another.

It more or less comes down to a personal preference... I'd say if you want to go the all in one just download one and try it for a few days.. and do the same for the other... and figure which one you like. I myself hated them all so much *granted this was close to a year ago they may have improved* that i just run all three at the same time.. usually just yahoo and aim.

Been using Trillian for about a week or so and IT'S GREAT!
Also supposedly you can uninstall YM & AIM (the ones i use). It works independently. But I have not done this yet
