    Hi,

A few months ago I had a problem with spyware which was kindly fixed with the assistance of this site. I have just installed a new Palm Desktop for my Tungsten T3 (together with some freeware) and noticed a familiar looking icon which is the letters 'MFC'. I feel sure that this was one which caused part of the problem last time. It's full title is:-

    PqiCmdLine MFC Application

I have sent it to the recycle bin and things still seem to be working ok. Am I right in thinking this would have caused me a problem last time or is it just my lack of knowledge spooking me?

    Thanks, Mick

Difficult to say..............the best way is to right-click the icon and locate the file/properties and see who the vendor is.

    Thanks Steve,

I've just looked and it shows the origin as:
"Palm Desktop Setup Files" so I presume that makes it ok.

If it is a Palm file do I need it in any case and what is its function?

    Thanks Again, Mick

I would think its no longer needed....probably from the original instalation but if its not taking up too much room on your hard drive i would leave it alone just incase.
