mic not working for sound driver

    Ok so i bought a mic from logitech and tried using it for my computer that has soundmax digital audio there are two plugs by each other one for mic the other for earphones the earphones jack works fine but when i plug the mic in it makes a little static noise but doesnt work its not muted or low volume or my speakers i think its my sound card but not sure . i tryed the same mic for my other computer it worked right away so i know the mic is fine but i still dont get whats wrong with the mic jack and wondering do i need new one or what because im a little confused why it wont work i mean the earphones jack works fine and they are both on same card so just wondering any solutions or does anyone have similar problem ?

    Hi Yegor,
    You could try another mic with your sound card and you can be sure if it's the mic jack.
