I have a microphone for my computer that I have been using for Teamspeak for several months. I recently upgraded most of my hardware on my computer, but now the microphone doesn't work anymore. I've tried muting/unmuting the microphone in the volume settings, troubleshooting through windows. I have confirmed through my audio drivers that the computer is recognizing that I've plugged in the microphone, but I don't get any response from input.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

    What hardware did you "upgrade"?
Have you reinstalled the correct motherboard drivers for audio or are you running on the "default" Windows ones?

I upgraded my motherboard, memory, video card, CPU, and power supply.

As for drivers, I installed all the motherboard drivers that came with the mobo. I also checked online for updated drivers, and I think there are no newer ones.

Try Speaker/Options/Properties/Recording and tell us what you see.

Well, I have Volume Control and Sound Recorder. As that path exists in Volume Control, I'll give you that unless I get a different reply later.

    Here's a screenshot of what I see.

Uncheck the microphone mute button and tell us if it works.

You are using the built in sound form the motherboard--correct? You don't have a sound card?

That is correct. One thing to mention before it's asked. I've tested the microphone in a different computer and it worked correctly, so that's still working.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the most current Soundmax drivers for your computer?

Twice - once from the CD that came with the motherboard, and once from the drivers on their site. No luck.

What's left I think we need the list of all ADDED hardware since this problem started.
