Microsoft Greetings 99 and windows 7

    I had the same problem with Microsoft Greetings and Windows Vista/Wins 7 where they seem incompatible and advise you the file HHCTRL.OCX is missing.

    Although I still see the HHTRCL.OCX message after the action taken as outlined below just click OK and you will get into the Greetings program.

    Action Taken

    Go into program files on the drive that windows is installed and left click Microsoft Home Publishing.
    Right Click HOMEPUB FILE, select properties then the compatibility tab.
    1. Select windows 2000 as the operating system
    2. tick the box "Disable Visual Themes"
    3. tick the box "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
    4. run as administrator
    Clich the box for all users and repeat steps 1-4.
