    First Name:
Different rumors and articles are floating around about bringing back the Start menu in Windows 8.

This is from an article I just read:

The Start menu is expected to be here in the coming months via an update for Windows 8.1, but the company might very well wait until the launch of Windows 9 to reintroduce it.

Well, instead of posting recirculated "blogs" why not post the real deal from the conference?

The only problem I see with this is, Microsoft hadn't touch based with what the "ALL APPS" (ie: Programs, All Programs) link directs the consumer to. Does it direct the consumer back to the ugly and useless Modern Apps desktop which fills up the entire display? OR does it list the Programs WITHIN the Start Menu as it had in later versions of Windows (eg: version: 1.1, 3, 95, 98, ME, XP, 2000, 2008, Vista, 7), where it can be more productive?

Whomever designed Windows 8/8.1 Metro "desktop" and the supposed "start button" (lol, "start is back" mantra. which is false advertising) ought to be slapped stupidly silly.
