When I open Microsoft Office Outlook, I get this message: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook.

I have reinstalled Outlook and I get this message anyway, please help.

By any chance did you try any beta versions of Office? I found this discussion between some people getting the MAPI32.DLL error message after uninstalling Office 2007 Beta

    http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?showtopic=22939&st=0&gopid=259079

Looks like one of them discovered that the problem may be related to a bad MSMAPI32.DLL file, not a MAPI32.DLL file. Not sure if their fix would still apply if another version of Office were not involved.

I get my e-mail service from Yahoo as part of my DSL service. I believe that it may be some type of premium version. I am not sure if that is any different than a regular free Yahoo account.

I avoid all contact with AOL as much as possible.

The web based interface to Gmail has help pages with detailed information on accessing your messages using programs like Outlook and Outlook Express. There are very specific port and SSL encryption settings that need to be used. You also need to enable POP3 access for your account through the web mail options pages.

EDIT: You may want to mark this thread as being solved and start a new one if you need help with accessing the e-mail server for yahoo, aol and gmail.
