In Microsoft Outlook, when I insert an attachment (photo, voice-mail, file, etc) it appears on my screen. But when I send, the attachment does not arrive on the e-mail sent. It always worked before, not any more! Help!

Have you tried to e-mail yourself with an attachment? Are you e-mailing someone who has web based e-mail? (i.e. Yahoo, Hotmail, etc etc) Just looking for some more info. :D

Hello Emtronics: These addresses are not web-based; jps.net, epix.net, mindspring.com,etc. Also, when I pass the cursor over the attachment-icon, it doesn't turn into an arrow, as if it doesn't recognize an attachment; and yet, I can double-click the icon and it opens up! Is this helpful further? Thanks!

What version of Outlook are you using? Also, how are you adding the attachment? For example, in Outlook 2002 (don't have access to a previous version at the moment but I would imagine the same options are available), when you insert an attachment, you can choose 'Insert', 'Insert as Text', or 'Insert as Shortcut'.

Hi Angel! It's Outlook 2000, and I insert by just clicking on the 'insert' on the top toolbar of the e-mail, then choosing the file needed. Also, I have sent these e-mails to myself, the attachment comes thru, but not to others. Thanks!

I'll have to look at 2000 when I get to work tomorrow. Sounds like it could be just adding it as a shortcut which would explain why you can see it (since the shortcut is pointing to a file on your computer).
But without looking at it can't be sure. How 'bout this. Start a new email and choose to insert shortcut. In the window where you choose the file, do you see a button that says Insert with a little arrow drop down list where you can choose how you want to insert it?
