I have Microsoft Power Point Reader installed. When I receive a Power Point presentation in an email, Windows 7 can't open it and I have to save it then open the Reader myself to see it. What can I do to get Windows 7 to find the Reader?

You could go to Control Panel, Default Programs, Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Scroll down to pps and make sure it's assosciated with Microsoft Office Power Point and the current Default is Microsoft Office PowerPoint. If not go to top right and click on Change program and select where power point is installed.

You may also be able to right click on the file and select Open with from the menu.

I tried this and when I clicked on Power Point which is on desktop it listed it as Microsoft Office Component and it wouldn't work. It might be because it is the freebe reader and not the regular program. It works on my laptop which is Windows Vista.

I had that problem once on one of my computers. I uninstalled it, downloaded a new copy and installed it again.
