Hi, Im getting a Microsoft Windows Error at every computer start up or more commonly after a game i was playing crashes and the computer restarts or has to be restarted. The error is: The system has recovered from a serious error. After sending the error report it directed me to the microsoft windows error reporting page with "corrupted error report" and the following " Unfortunately, the error report you submitted is corrupted and cannot be analyzed. Corrupted error reports are rare. They can be caused by hardware or software problems, and they usually indicate a serious problem with your computer."

So i guess i have serious hardware or software problem, actually i know there is a big problem because my computer is deffinitely not performing. Constant game crashes and computer restarts. Can someone help me figure this one out? Thanks!!

thanks for your reply. I followed the info in your link. It suggested i re-create the paging file which i've done. Dont know if its fixed anything. The game im trying to play is still crashing. Maybe is just this particular game thats not agreeing with my computer?

    Hmm ..

One System crash with bugcheck 1A with IRQL x'1c' which is clock level IRQL and this is a symptom of hardware error ... bugcheck 0A only occurs if IRQL is > 1

    Suggestions
1.Run "memtest" to stress the ram. If memtest reports the ram is faulty, ram is bad. Sometimes some faulty ram can pass memtest .Reset the memory stick to another slot.If You have More then one Stick of Ram Take out one memory stick And Run "Memtest" on each separately . If windows does not crash, the removed memory stick is faulty.

2.Check the temperature of the CPU and make sure that it is not overheat. Make sure that the CPU fan works properly . Try Changing It

3.Clean the dust inside the computer case

4.Make sure that your PSU have adequate power For all the hardware.

5.Update video Card Drivers. Also Reset video card. Run 3DMark to test your video card. Check to default setting if you video card is "overclocked"

    6.Upgrade BIOS

I actually just had my computer in at a reapir store the other day as i was compalining of these sorts of errors and system crashes and wanted it looked at. They ran tests on everything, ram, harddrive and motherboard. Their outcome was no errors in the testing. I also recieved this error a minute ago after the game i was playing crashed again.

    Technical Information
    Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.

There are two options you can use to try to fix the problem. If the first option doesn't work, then try the second.

Option 1: Install the most current device driver for your video card
Option 2: Manually decrease Hardware Acceleration for your video adapter
