Microsoft Word 97 contains many useful double arrow fonts including reaction arrows / harpoons .

I wish to use a double arrow font / symbol where the arrow head is connected to a broken or dotted line.

These are not available in Word 97.

Can I download such a font from the internet ?

Any suggestions please ?

that arrow should be found in Wingdings 3

you can download it from (examples):

scroll down and look for
Microsoft Character Map Display Tool
Characters gives a much more readable display of symbol characters than the Microsoft Character map. You get to choose from "symbol", "Wingdings", "Wingdings 2", "Wingdings 3", or Webdings. The output shows the ASCII index number, the equivalent character in Verdana and then the symbol. Download Characters now! It works in either Win9x or Win2K.

or try
