This freaks me out... I've been using a font called Cut and Paste for months for
an ad campaign. I was using WordPerfect. Then WordPerfect Office. FINALLY I got
the hint and upgraded to Microsoft Office 2003. Suddenly, the font is MISSING!!!
As in, no longer available in all three programs. I have since deleted all vestiges of WordPerfect from my system. I can find the missing font on my C drive, but... it refuses to open in Word.
It's a big deal! Any thoughts?

Go back to the original source of the font and re-install it.

Me again... re: the font issue. I've tried several times to reinstall it: it says it is
already installed on my system. I have located the font on my C drive and tried to open it in Word, but to no avail. I have a sneaking suspicion Word simply no longer supports this particular font. Weird....

    Thanks...!

You need to go and nuke the font in question from the FONTS folder, then install it again.

Was it by any chance an Adobe Post script font that needs the Adobe driver to 'see' it in Windows.?
I seem to remember that WP used them and had the driver as part of the package.

Good point, I assumed it was a TT font. :)

Nope... Cut and Paste was a Broderbund font, off a Click Art CD. I have a query in to Microsoft Word tech support as well... I'll let you know! Bewildering, really.
