I have a user which needs to open a file but this comes up with the attached file window
No matter what you select the file does not come up with normal text(regardless of format).
Is there any help to this situation?

I would say that they are NOT MS Word documents.

    What is the file extension?

    That is NOT a document.
It is a style sheet and should have the extension XSL. That is the layout for a document NOT the document itself.

The real document should be in the same place if the author saved it there.
