I have Microsoft Works SE 9.0, When I go to try and open it I get a blank screen saying Microsoft Works Not Responding. Now if I start my computer in Safe Mode I can open it with no trouble at all. When I bought my computer Microsoft Works was pre installed on the computer. I am not sure where what is going on. Also I am running widows 7. Please help not sure what to do.

Have you recently installed a device driver or any software which installs a virtual driver (for example, a third-party firewall, antivirus, or cd-burning application)? Since Windows Safe Mode loads only a minimal set of system drivers & ignores third-party drivers, it could possibly be an issue with a recently introduced driver or any of the aforementioned types of software.

If that rings any bells, uninstall the offending software or driver and see if that allows Works to function in normal mode.
