microsoft works

    I am attempting to set up a credit card log in microsoft works. After bringing up the template for credit card log showing column's, I enter card number in first column then click to next column, type, to enter type of card. When I do this the previously entered card number changes and adds (E+14) to the number I have entered. What am I doing wrong? Why does the number change?

    While I never use Works, that problem is also in Excel so will comment on that, it should apply.

    You need to format the cell holding the credit card number as text, because it is interpreting the card number as a very long number and truncating it as you see.

    You could try widening the column also, however using text would help more.
    Try using spaces in the number? (i.e. 1234 5678 0123456)
