Did you put battery in it?
Most of the time we just forget?
I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse, and most of the time if it is not working is because the battery.
    Good Luck

Like smcaplan said, change out the battery. Then try to reconnect by pressing the button on the bottom of the mouse. (Or at least that's normally where it's located, if at all).
