Background: I am about to leave the company I have been in for 10 years. I have Outlook 2011 on the mac that I will be taking with me away from the company. However, this version of Outlook is currently linked to an Office 365 account - and exchange account for my email... And obviously these accounts are going to be closed.

What I would like to do: I would like, essentially, to fully recreate my current outlook (with contacts and email folders etc) in another email client - such that when the exchange account is deleted - all the contacts and emails remain on my computer in this other email client.

If anyone could let me know the best way of doing this it would be very much appreciated.:)

you will probably find that you would not be allowed to do that - part of your contract or your leaving agreement will be that you cannot retain company information and all the emails are company information.
Also depending again on the leaving agreement - you may also be restricted from contacting any of the business contacts for business for a period of X months. Along with working in the same field.

Many thanks for your reply Etaf - though in this case... I own the company in question... so not trying to do anything illegal. Just need help with the logistics.

It seems odd to say that you're leaving a company that you own. Does this mean that you're selling (or giving) it to a third party?

How many computers were on the company network?

Hi,

Yes I am selling on... And this is more a logistical question than a legal one.

To be clear... It is just the one email account that I am looking to replicate... no more no less...

I'm sorry but I don't believe that any information should be retained when selling a company and therefore we will decline to assist in this matter.

Closing thread.
