I need to transfer Microsoft Money 2006 data to a newer personal financial software. I assume Quicken is the best replacement. But MS Money 2006 is too old to convert into the Quicken versions on the market. I don't have any older version of Quicken that I could migrate to as a stepping stone to get to the latest version. And of course I don't want to corrupt or lose any of my MS Money data in the process.

The software is on an older laptop with Windows Vista Core2. But I just purchased a laptop with Windows 7 Core i7. So I could migrate within either the Vista or 7 environment.

I am not an IT tech but am pretty good at following instructions.

Appreciate any suggestions you may have.

OS Version: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium, Service Pack 2, 32 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz, x64 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 10

OS Version: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM)i7-3612 CPU @ 2.10GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9

Thanks for the suggestion. What I should have mentioned is that I have the Canadian version and I see on the Microsoft website that the 'sunset' version will not import data in non-US versions. I can always try but I am thinking it is not going to work...

Do you have any other ideas?? Anyone else have any thoughts about this?
