I'm not sure if this is the right thread so please can someone move it if it's in the wrong place....

    Proxies for mIRC

I am running Windows 7, mIRC v6.35. I am trying to connect to a server using a proxy in the firewall setting in mIRC.

    Firewall Support:- Server Protocol:- Proxy

    It either comes up with:-

    Firewall: Connection rejected

    or

Host listed in DroneBL. For more information, visit dronebl.org/lookup_branded.do?ip=x.x.x.x&network=Network

I am have tried using Proxies from Hide My *** but most of these come up with the error messages above and any that do connect keep disconnecting and do not maintain a connection for very long.

As suggestions for a reliable Proxy that does not keep disconnecting or coming up with those error messages. (Assuming it is a Proxy issue)....

    Cheers

Why are you using a proxy to connect?

Most ISPs will block proxies too, depending on where you are adding this information.

Was using a proxy to try and protect myself on IRC a bit..... had a bad experience so trying to be a bit more careful.

What do you adding this information? Surely there must be a reliable list or proxy service out there?

Check with your internet provider. They may be blocking any proxy server.
