    Hi,

i posted this on another forum but was directed to this one, i hope that you can help!!
I logged onto my toshiba laptop and when everything was loaded, it offered to install the latest version of internet explorer, which i chose to accesp because i don't use google chrome or firefox or anything like that. So it began istalling the latest version of internet explorer. While i was doing this, i was browsing some other sites on the internet when a message came up saying that my computer had found something nasty, so i pressed "clean my computer" and it did so. this happened two or three times. I then noticed that i had no task bar on my desk top or any desktop icons except the desktop gadgets such as the clock and temperature etc.

right or left clicking with the mouse did nothing and ctrl + alt + del does work... so i restarted my computer and when it logs on again, it comes up with all the desktop icons and task bar, but then a window opens saying internet explorer isn't working and it's searching for a problem. When this is done, the wondow disapears and so does everythign else, but the gadgets on my computer.
