    Hello

    Can anyone help me?
On my laptop running Windows 2000 I have the following problem:

I right click the start button and click explore.
The folders pain on the left is blank/grey.
I have attached a screen dump of it.

    has anyone seen this before?
Any suggestions on how to to fix it?

    Thank you

    Pileyrei:confused:

Start, Run, type cmd and press enter.

In the command window, at the C:> prompt, type:

    sfc /scannow

    and press enter.

    Get your w2k CD ready.

Note that ideally you should have sp4 installed first. Then sfc wouldn't replace system files updated by Windows Update with the old CD versions of the files.
