I can boot to safe mode if I use the "start-up" disk. At prompt C, I type WIN and hit enter. The message comes up telling me the HIMEM.SYS is missing. How can I re-install it?
    Thanks.

    otoe1,
I appreciate your reply and triedwhat was posted at the site you recommended. I continue to get the missing error. From what I gathered from the norton site, 64 meg is allocated for DOS so that the himem.sys can be loaded. If I re-format the hard drive and reload windows, will this solve my problem? Thanks.
