I had Outlook 2007 loaded as part of my office 2007 suite. For some reason it no longer resides on my computer - all refrences to it have dissappeared (and i don't mean shortcut icons etc). I have checked all directories etc and there is no outlook files at all. This occured after i had spilled water on my key board (co incidenc here i am sure) causing me to be unable to access windows as the computer would not boot. When i hooked up a new keyboard i discovered the problem with outlook - an also that Norton had detected a Trojan virus (is this something to do with it?)

I have also tried reinsatalling from my original Microsoft Office Proffessional 2007 discs but when the list of products appears Outlook has a red cross next to it and i can not load it.

Considering i have no accesss to my address book (with over 300 email addresses) you can understand mu utter frustration ! HELP

can you find the .pst file - search for hidden files

if you can copy the .pst file over to another PC you will at least/should have a copy of your address book and emails

Spilling water on a computer doesn't selectively delete files.

    Look here:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe

If this file isn't here, then somehow Outlook was removed from your system and will need to be reinstalled.

    Thanks for the reply

I have the PST File but there is no Outlook.exe file. I have run a full search but it is not on my computer.
This still does not solve the mystery of why i am unable to reinstall from the original disks - it just will not give me access to outlook !

    Thanks for the assistance

can you do a system restore from accessories, system tools

or you may need to remove 200 completely and reinstall - the CD may think its already installed - if i remember 2003 office - it did tell you when you went through the install discs what was already installed
