That should be easy enough to take care of:
Download 'Hijack This to its own folder http://www.dotcomsecurity.org/downloads/HijackThis.exe
    Doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, load it in Notepad, and copy its contents here. [IMG]

    Most of what it lists
will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

have you tried running Adware or SpyBot? A quick google search will take you to their webpages.. both are free

Just do a search for the Dotnetinstaller.exe and delete it. Also there are more than IE updates that are nessecary to be secure on windows sooky.

    Hi Mobo ........ thanks again!
Yes I have adaware & spybot and do regular scans with them ...... ( you see I always thought the updates were for IE security. dah! )
I will do a search now and delete it now that I know what it is I have to do - because I was thinking I had to find or replace the missing dll.
I just did a rescan with one button & no errors show up this time!
    Thanks
    Lu
