    Hi,

Do you receive any error messages when running programs like Media Player, or something similar?
You could try updating the sound card drivers for your system, or you could restore a copy of mmtask.tsk, through System File Checker.

    Good Luck:)

    Hi Debbie,

I seldom run DrWatson, and therefore probably have far less problems, than if I were to run it regularly... :D

Seriously though, I'd only use it to troubleshoot real problems.

If you're not getting any page faults, exception errrors, or fatal exceptions to speak of, I seriously think you should forget about this.

    Cheers,

    I found this!

    MMTASK.TSK
MYAPP.EXE caused a GPF in MMTASK.TSK handles multimedia background tasks, such as cueing MCI calls and timing events, etc etc etc....

    Hope that helps

    Savvy :)

    Hi,

I imagine that Eddie5659's sugesstion is probably dead-on. It looks like Dr.Watson creates this report without there neccessarily being any error messages or functionality issues.
I think Dr.Watson should be sued for malpractice.

It should only be used in order to troubleshoot real problems.

Is used to warn me that 'Adobe Type Manager has changed the system files'.

Now this is certainly enough to give anyone a mild case of paranoia, while in truth it means nothing at all.

    Greetz.

    Hiya

You may not need to. According to Microsoft, this behavior is by design. Did you have a look at the link?
