I use a laptop computer that was issued to me by the company I work for. They provided me with an Embarq mobile broadband air card to get high speed internet. Once connected to the air card, I access Outlook to get my business emails and do work related research on the internet using internet explorer. However, I also use the same computer to retrieve my personal emails by going to Internet Explorer then aol mail. I also visit several baseball websites using the company laptop. (My son is a minor league player.)
I know that if my IT department wanted to see what I've been doing on their laptop, they can request it, do a forensic search and see where I've been.
However, can the IT department see where I go on the internet, get my aol email password, etc. from the server at the office without me knowing it, when I use a mobile broadband air card?
PS: I don't go to any bad sites. And, this was not written on the company laptop.
