In previous versions of Windows (98, 2000) when I closed IE and Outlook Express a window popped up and asked if I wanted to disconnect, or hang up, the modem. Very convenient and I wasn't likely to wander off and forget the phone line was tied up. Now, with Win XP I don't get that pop up window. Do you know where that feature can be activated? Or is the lack of it another MS "improvement"?

Thanks for your help.

WOW! Either you guys are good, or Microsoft is reading my mail <grin>. Would you believe, when I logged off this session there was the auto disconnect window! I knew this machine was smart. I still don't know how it got there.

Regards,

Don
