my system is a 300mhz cpu
    32mb ram 1.2gig hd
and a conexsoft 56k fax data modem.
now i know this modem works because i've had it working on a seperate pc,when i try to conect using connection wizard it tells me that i have a LAN conection.looking in control panle there is no dialup icon.
so how do i get rid of this lan connection?
i don't see any thing in bios to change.
    hope you can help laters

You need to create a dialup connector.
Go To : start/settings/control panel /dialup networking & make new connection... after yoiu have created the new connection make a shortcut & send it to the desktop so you can click on it to go online.

leigh you need to call your internet provider then... let them set you up in compliance to their connection .
