Whenever I boot my pc up with the monitor switched off, it always goes to 60hz refresh rate when I switch it on in Windows.

The refresh rate I've set in Windows is 85hz, and that's what it normally sets if I boot up the pc with the monitor switched on.

This has happened for years under different operating systems, I think it's an inherent problem with the monitor. It's a Dell M990.

    Can anything be done?
