I have a problem with my monitor. When I start the computer, the monitor signal is amber, not green...and I dont hear the post signal beep. I then tried to start the computer again...only to wait until the cd rom lights blinks and quickly turn on the monitor and then I hear the post beep immediately after that and the monitor screen is viewable(green light)...I have tried everything: checked power cords, reseated video card, switched the monitor with another machine and it worked normally...I really would like to stop the annoying pushing of the monitor button to get the thing going....I have pIII WINDOWS 2000 with the lastest service pack 3 and direcx drivers, geforce2 mx 64 mb video, 733 mhz intel processor. Mobo is only two years old. Thanx

Did you try using the monitor from the 2nd PC on your PC? Just to rule out the video card being the problem..

Yes, I did. The monitor worked fine at first ,but then went back to square one once I powered down fully and restarted the pc. I have tried using a different video card..same problem.
