Monitor doesnt detect a connection but..

    I just built a ryzen 5 2600x PC and plugged the GPU into a brand new monitor with an HDMI cable, but nothing happened. The GPU is running and so is everything else as far as I can tell, and I've already removed and plugged the cable back in.

    You must install a graphics card to get a display. If you installed a separate graphics card make sure you plugged the HDMI cable into the card's connector not the motherboard's connector.

    I said that I connected the monitor to the GPU.

    I would check if the exact ram is compatible with that motherboard at MSI's website.
