Monitor has a wave in it

    i have a Monitor that has a wave on the left side of the screen it is 2 inches wide. can you help me? thanks

    Do you have speakers or anything sitting next to the motor? Anything magnetic and not sheilded will cause the display to warp.

    no magnetic stuff near the monitor

    Does your monitor have a de-gauss feature? If so, try it out. I assume you've already tried all the goemetry tweaks the monitor has available. If you can, take the monitor to another computer and see if the behavior persists.

    How old is the monitor? Sounds like it may be time for a new one.

    Sounds like the monitors is bad. To be sure try it on a different or friends computer. Is the monitor under warranty? If you still have the problem on a different computer DONT try fixing the monitor yourself as there are DANGEROUS voltages inside. (even when unplugged). You can get a new monitor pretty cheap now.
