monitor issue

    monitor goes blank for a second when i close or open a program. Is this a graphics card issue?

    Yes !
    It is directely related to the Graphics Card.

    Install the driver of Graphics Card or VGA.

    OR

    If you have installed already please select the resolution by rightclick on the blank destkop and choosing properties >> go to Settings >> move slider to 800 * 600 .

    Install the driver of Graphics Card or VGA? You could walk him through it. He is a beginner.

    ggwg2 You could start off by telling us which video card you have installed please =)
    And does it happen with every program, such as microsoft word, or just games ?
