my friend has a pc, but when he connected the dvi cable (18 +1) to the gpu (ichill gtx 1060 6gb) the monitor displays "no signal".

its weird because when he connects the cable to the motherboard (cpu has integrated graphics), it boots up, and has no problems (except for poor performance of course).

gpu lights up and the fans spin, so it seems that the gpu has power.

any way to fix this, or just get a replacement with warranty?

Go into the BIOS and look for settings for multi-monitors or other settings associated with embedded video and having a video card.

i can only do this while the motherboard (not the gpu) is connected to the monitor, will that be a problem?
