I realize my first post was a little involved.

Here is the basic problem :
When booting, my computer gets to the Windows Starting page, then it goes blank, then black, and then the monitor displays the message NO SIGNAL.

But the computer is still on. Window, U, U shuts it down. (drives spin, then the lights go off)
But it will boot into safe mood fine.

It won't boot with a diagnostic boot, using only boot.ini (everything else disabled)
Tried booting with last known configuration. Nope
Haven't installed or changed anything that I can remember.

    My question is:
What is the difference between Safe mode & a Diagnostic boot with everything disabled?
Why does one work and the other doesn't?
I can't check the device drivers while in safe mode, so don't know what else to do.
Any ideas short of throwing it out the window?

If you want more details see my previous post.
    Thanks
