Hi!

I got a PC with windows 10
I recently got myself a second monitor to ease my work. It behaves strangely. It won't recognise it's resolution capabilites, giving me 1024 x 768 and 800 × 600 as only alternatives. That means that I can choose between having the picture on this 2nd monitor stretched out (and thus deformed), if I use "wide"- or big black bars along the sides of the picture if I use "auto" - on image size on the on-display-menu. If I however switch cords to a new port it will recognize it's capabilities to reach 1920 × 1080.
But if I turn of my PC it'll be back to 1024 x 768 and 800 × 600 as only alternatives. What could be the problem and solution. Don't want to have to change cords every time I turn on my PC

What monitor do you have? What graphics card do you have? What computer do you have? Does the computer have both integrated and dedicated graphics and are you using the same one for both monitors? Have you updated the graphics driver?
