So I was starting my computer up and everything was working fine. I accidentally knocked the tower (very, very, very gently!) and my monitor went noisy and pixelated.
It changed to pinks, blues and greys, in vertical lines then switched to horizontal lines and back again. My monitor then switched off, and hasn't switched back on again.
The power button is flashing, though.
My monitor is a Hanns-G HU196D, and this isn't the first time it happened. When I initially got it second-hand it did it completely but always came back on after 5 minutes. This time it hasn't came on. My friend suggested it was dusty inside so I opened it up to no dust and all components seem accurate (to my understanding).
My operating system is Windows Vista, if that's relevant.
Whenever I start my computer now, the tower makes quite a bit of noise and the speakers switch on perfectly fine. It's literally just the moniter which doesn't come on.

You might want to be aware that I'm not the best, or most technical person, so explanations with things would be greatly appreciated!:)
Thanks for any help received C:

as you knocked the tower over, you may have knocked loose some cables. Start at the monitor, make sure that electrical plug and the cable from the pc are tight, them make sure that the cable on the pc from the monitor is tight.

    and welcome, btw. :)

I completely unplugged everything from the back of the PC and the plugs, then rewired it and nothing happened.
    Thank you, though!

You may have knocked loose the video card or the RAM. Does the monitor plug into a card that is removal inside the computer or to the motherboard?

The only thing the monitor plugs into is the back of the tower as far as I'm aware, with a blue plug with twistable things .-. I've just watched a video on the RAM thing, so I guess I'm gonna have to open it up and have a look.
Lets hope I don't mess it up further!
Thank you for your help, by the way:D
