Aside from passwording the Bios' CMOS Setup (if the feature is available on your machine), taking the power cord with you when you're gone or installing Desktop Lock software you'd find on http://www.download.com - Utilities and Drivers, there is no software that will record the changes that are made per se. Just applications (mostly free) to keep people out will you're gone.

Thanks. Its not that I want to stop them from using it,i just want to be able to fix any problems somewhat easily.I think the software by Roxio called Go-back may be what i need.If i understand it correctly, i should be able to "go back" to any point before any problems i may have encountered, not necessarily a crash. For instance,if i go to work wednesday morning and during the day someone " plays" with the computer, when i get home at night i can just go back to wednesday morning.Yes? No? Mike

GoBack 3 Deluxe version is what you want if you get GoBack.

    http://Roxio.com/en/products/goback/gobackfeatcomp.html

Now if it will do want you want all the time who knows. Don't know if it's back to goback in time each day because the kids did some but I guess it will or it says it will.

There are other programs out there.

GoBack is great. I have used it for a couple of years now and it is a lifesaver at times. In your case, just ask it to revert your drive to the last time you used your computer (whatever time that was eg 9.00pm on (date)) and you will be returned to how your computer was at that time.
