Have you checked display properties and the current adaptor?

Usually if you know the make and model of the PC. you can usually download a driver to have a setting more than 16bit color. What operating system was on the computer before you installed me?

What you need to do is reinstall the video drivers once you determine what card you have: Start, settings, control panel, system, device manager tab, display adapter tab. highlight the video card listed there, click remove. reboot. Let the computer reinstall the card and the software (drivers) for it. If that doesn't restore colors and screen sizes you'll have to download the drivers from a web site of the manufacturer, usually self installing. But the real question is why you would go to the trouble of installing Windows Me instead of 98. There is nothing better about Me.

Is it 16 colour or 16 bit colour? If its 16 bit colour, I guess you should leave things as they are. If its 16 colour, its a good thing to install the video card drivers.

Btw, what make/model is the video card?

You probably need Adobe Acrobat Reader...this is the link -

You need to get more info on the computer......either brand/name and model, or motherboard, or video card info.....certainly they must have some disks/cds laying around that came with the computer?
