The company on Tuesday said it has begun installing a Web browser add-on that sends some Morpheus users on an invisible Web detour aimed at capturing data about file swappers' surfing habits.
Stream Cast claims that it is not gathering personal data.
Fair enough, but I would not want an extra step in my browsing process. This has the potential of causing problems both with IE itself and with the fact that if the redirectors site experiences problems, it could cause page not found errors or slow down your browsing to a site. This in turn could make a person think that something might be wrong with thier computer when it is something from outside.
Hi Eddie and Brooks, thanks for the info.question ediie, when you removed the spyware from morpheus, did it stop the program from running?Am like Brooks, dont have any file sharing programs on my system. After all that junk Kazza put on mine, its just not worth it.
I cannot support any program that uses spyware
even if it can be removed by some means, this is only adding to the popularity and success to the spyware infested applications and keeping them profitable.
My suggestion is to use a spyfree appplication such as WinMX.
