    Hello all,
I just got this mb used, and i have no info on it
Im trying to find out what it is so i can get a manual for it.
Heres all the info i have.
    Its got onboard everything.
    It has a slot 1 and a socket 370
it has both at and atx power plugs.
    3 sdram slots
    1 pci
    1isa
its got a gold heatsink on the board that says Xcel 2000.
it says it has AMI bios.
it has a sticker on one of the chips that says AGP 8m, Ultra DMA 66, and PC99 connector.
it has the at style keyboard plug, and at the top right-hand corner, it says M748LMRT REV:1.3C

Any info on this board would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    PCChips Model 748LMRT
More info from PCWare (the site seems to go down frequently, so try again if you can't connect) or from PC Chips Lottery,
(Best info on BIOS, drivers, etc for these motherboard is usually available from the PCCL Discussion Boards.)

    Hiya

Found a manual, but its a document, not pdf.

    Its here:

    http://203.161.230.38/manual.html

and its a zip file. It says (748LMRT-13.exe) but when you open up the zip file, after virus scanning, it has 6 documents in.

I'll try and humt a pdf format for you.

    Regards

    eddie

    Good to hear.

Is it the drivers for the MB, or for all the other hardware parts that you're after now?

    o.k. time for an update.
this board has onboard everything. I dont have drivers for anything. when i got it going it went through and installed a big list of drivers on its own, things like pci to pci bridge, agp to cpu bridge, ide, etc...

problem is, it doesn't detect the video, or the modem. It detected the onboard sound, so i should be able to download the drivers and be set for sound.

Im not sure if drivers will help for the video and modem. even when i do a manual search for hardware, it doesn't find either one of them.
Does this mean they've gone bad?? it has 1 PCI, and 1 ISA , but they're a shared slot, so i can only use one. If i put a video card in, im stuck with no modem.
    Any ideas???

Good "how-to" on flashing bios at the PCC Lottery site.

You really should check out their forums at the link I provided above. They have good recommendations on which bios version to use with which board.

For example, I was working on a 598LMR ver 1.3 board; flashing with the bios version recommended by the PCChips official sites has been known to result in a dead board - I wouldn't have known if I hadn't gone through the forums. I was able to do a good flash thanks to their advice.
