I have a DELL Inspirion 8500 laptop. The battery stopped charging. The battery has been confirmed to be good in another 8500 laptop and charges properly. After discussions with DELL, they suggested that the motherboard would need to be replaced. I assume there circuitry on the motherboard that charges the battery and was wondering if anyone had information that would help me to trouble shoot the circuit and fix my motherboard. By the way, the computer works fine while running on the adaptor or a fully charged battery.
