I need some info on my motherboard the make is an Asus A7n8X deluxe.

I need to know what is the maximum size processor i can put into this motherboard.
I went to this site,
http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=A7N8X Deluxe

but it doesn't really make sense to me. The reason i ask is because i purchased this system and the processor it came with was an amd2600.

When i checked my system with belarc advisor i get

1166 megahertz AMD Pentium III
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Is amd 2600 equivelent to a pentium 3?
I also notice on the moby that 2 of the ram slots are blue, i have 2 x 512 ddrRam are they meant to be in a certain position? Like the blue slots.

My pagefile size is 1534mb

I have approx 500 gig of HD space

I have been creating movies and playing battlefield 2 and they are really slow graphics wise i have an Ati Radeon 9550

Any help on the above is well appreciated Thanks

Thanks for the reply guys.

just two quick questions?

The two blue slots for ram why are they a different colour?

and

When i copy something from my system drive to another drive on the system i am getting a lag effect it could take 10 minutes for a gig file to transfer between drives.

EG: If i do circles with my mouse the mouse will stop every second or so then continue.

C drive 80 gig barracuda
D drive 200

Example file 1gig .avi file

This can't be normal i get better times between my systems on the network.

Could it be the cables between the drives?

Thanks for the help

Could it be the cables between these drives
