Motherboard or Video Card problem

    well...i recently reformatted my computer and the problem is that now whenever i turn on my computer....it doesnt show up on my monitor screen...it sounds like its on and running but there is no signal...the last thing i did was updated my monitor settings...but i am trying to go into safe mode to at least change the settings..but it seems like the computer is not even on...is it my motherboard?

    Do you have a screen in Safe Mode?

    Have you gone into Device Manager - check the Display Adapter
    + or - sign? yellow ? or !

    Do you by any chance have another video card that you can switch in here to try and get this thing up and going so you can change or undo your new settings? Also, you might want to look at resetting your CMOS by changing that jumper to clear the CMOS and then set up the default settings on your BIOS setup. Save it and reboot and give it a try.
