motherboard

    Can someone tell me a program that tells me what kind of motherboard i have in my pc and what all i have in it? such as ram, type slots? without taking covers off?

    I tried the link to lavalys.com, but didn't see anything that even resembled something to download and see what kind of motherboard checker, I need something that will tell me what kind of cpu is in this pc, and what type socket it uses so I can see about an upgrade

    thank you, I now know what cpu I have and what socket, now I need to know what I can upgrade to, iT HAS A SOCKET 478 iNTEL CELERON CPU IN IT, 1.7 GHZ.
    WHERE DO i FIND INFO TO GET UPGRADED CPU?

    You should be able to upgrade to several better performing Celeron processors or a Pentium 4. You should be able to get a decent P4 for @ $70

    Thanks I got what I need for that motherboard, now I want to see about mine, mine is a dell diminsion e310. I used everest to see what the motherboard was, it says its a Dell dell DV051, I want to see what cpu I can upgrade with. Thanks for all your help
